Senior Accountant Hybrid

Job Summary

The financial accountant is responsible for managing the company’s financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and internal policies. The role involves preparing financial statements, analyzing financial data, managing budgets, having a strong tax & statutory background, and providing insights that support decision-making and business growth.

Duties & Responsibilities
1. Responsible for completion of federal, international, and state income tax returns, including all related analysis and support.

2. Ensure compliance with tax regulations, and other statutory requirements.

3. Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

4. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders.

5. Support the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial planning.

6. Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies during audits and inspections.

7. Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and business initiatives.

8. Assist in process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

9. Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure reconciliations are accurate and up-to-date.

10. Oversee/manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring proper controls and accuracy.

11. Monitor cash flow, banking, and treasury operations.

12. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Accountancy.
2. Professional accounting certification (ACCA, ICAN, etc.) preferred.
3. Proven experience as a financial accountant, minimum 5 years in a similar role.
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
5. Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Sage).
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
