We are looking for a Billing Operations Specialist—an operational role in our payments department focused on billing, payment infrastructure, fraud, and chargebacks.

In this role, you won’t just be helping users—you will also work directly with payment flows, investigate cases, impact service quality, and improve processes alongside the team.

What You Will Do:

• Monitor payment infrastructure and key metrics.
• Handle payment incidents, including failed payments, refunds, and disputes/chargebacks.
• Investigate complex payment cases (unauthorized payments, chargeback threats, suspicious transactions, and root cause analysis).
• Communicate with users regarding billing inquiries (refund requests, disputes, unauthorized payments) via ticket-based systems.
• Work with fraud cases and analyze fraud patterns.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders (product, support, payments, compliance).

Candidate Expectations:

• A basic understanding of online payments and fraud patterns.
• English proficiency at a B1+ level or higher, both written and spoken. (This is essential, as you will mainly be communicating with users in the US).
• Readiness to work night shifts (19:00 to 03:00).
• An analytical mindset for investigating problems.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing approaches.
• Ability to work with SLAs and handle escalations.
• A desire to improve processes and proactively share your ideas.

Nice-to-Have:

• Hands-on experience with failed payments, refunds, disputes, and an understanding of the chargeback lifecycle.
• Experience working with ticket-based platforms (Zendesk or similar).
• A willingness to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.

Work Format & Schedule:
Remote work by default.

Billing agent schedule: 18–19 shifts per month.

Shifts:

Morning: 07:00–15:00

Day: 15:00–23:00

Evening: 19:00–03:00

Note: Evening/night shifts primarily focus on operations, monitoring, and incident handling (rather than non-stop customer calls).
